Peru Durable organizes the Peruvian edition of the International Day of Responsible Tourism

"Sociability and solidarity, the values for an original tourism".

 

This Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014, the operator of tourism met in eight different countries in order to discuss the new values of the responsible tourism. In Peru, the event took place in the facilities of PROMPERU, a promotional event of the tourism in Peru. It received the support of the Tourism Ministry and also from the San Marcos University, several travel agencies, an important hotel chain and from the Association for the Defense of People with Disabilities or Fair Commerce. 

 

Everyone brought their vision towards what is responsible tourism and shared their numerous examples as follow ups. Everyone stated their wishes of making sure these issues are taken into consideration for the development of the tourism in Peru.

For the second edition of the JMTR in Peru we focused of the solidarity aspect of tourism in Peru and he problems it is currently facing, as well as the birth of the social tourism: the accessibility of the web pages and the birth of the “right for tourism”.
